Thank you to everybody who joined us at this year's 'Moving Forward' trade event - we hope you enjoyed it.
More than 500 delegates from 37 countries descended on Liverpool to take part in the two day event, which was hosted by ICA President, Mr Ray Butler and held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel and St George's Hall on 20/21 October 2011.
The presentations
Over the course of the two days, six high profile industry speakers took to the stage to deliver a range of presentations that were based on the ‘moving forward' event theme, with particular emphasis on sustainability. These included an update on China and a look at ‘sustainability' from the trade, the textile mill, BCI and the retailer's perspective.

The networking opportunities
With networking a key element of the event, delegates had plenty of opportunity to network and do business. On Thursday the event kicked off with a networking lunch with a welcome cocktail reception in the evening, where more than 250 delegates joined us for canapés and a glass of ‘fizz'. Networking continued on Friday with another lunch and the closing gala dinner.
The gala dinner
On Friday evening delegates and guests enjoyed dinner and drinks at the magnificent St George's Hall, where the official handover of the ICA presidential badge was passed from Mr Ray Butler to Mr Antonio Esteve, who now takes up his year in office. Then it was back to the Crowne Plaza for an after-dinner party, where guests continued to socialise.
