Keeping you up to date with everything that is happening at the ICA

Vietnam Visit

Robert Jiang (ICA Business Operations & Development Manager), Casandra German (ICA Business Intelligence Officer) and Derek Tanner (D.A.T Arbitration & Consultancy) made a visit to Vietnam last month.
In cooperation with VCOSA (Vietnam Cotton & Spinning Association) and Cotton US, Robert and Derek delivered a two-day Quality Matters training course to 26 delegates in Ho Chi Minh City and Thai Binh. The training focused on all elements of quality matters – from classing to claims and resolution. It also included an exam for delegates.
One delegate who successfully completed the course explained; “The training let me have a clear concept about international cotton trading, how to class the quality of cotton and what to do when met with a claim issue“.
The trip was also used as an opportunity to listen to the concerns of ICA members, to promote ICA membership and to encourage safe trading amongst spinners and agents.
